Books and Babies!

Hi everyone!  I can’t believe it’s almost here!  I have spent the last couple of weeks visiting family in Cincinnati and Chicago and it was so good to see everyone and catch up with friends I hadn’t talked to in a while.  So here’s what I did on my trip:

My dad came to Charlotte to drive me and some boxes up to Cincinnati.  After the 6-7 hour road trip, we grabbed some food and just relaxed a while.  I was there for a week, and during the week my dad was working and I was at home, so I caught up with a friend that I hadn’t talked to in years, Topia.  We had lunch together a couple of times and we did Zumba together…it was fun, and it got me out of the house!  Since I didn’t have a car in Cincy, my dad rented me one on Wednesday and I caught up with friends from high school, Sarah and Natalie.  Good times.  Another day, I also met up with my friend Megan’s mom and sister and they are definitely a second family to me. (You’ll see them in the pictures.)

After the week with my dad, I met up with a couple of friends from Davidson and stayed with them for the weekend.  It was so good to catch up with them!  Yay for reunions!  After the weekend, my mom drove to Cincy to pick me up and take me back to Chicago to spend time with her and other family in Chicago.  We went to a musical together and on a boat tour of Chicago’s downtown area on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.  It was gorgeous!  Then I flew back to Charlotte, saw Batman at the IMAX theater and now I’m getting ready for the last couple of weeks in the U.S.

Becky (Ms. Busack to some of you) is coming to visit, then Darryl and I are heading to Mississippi to visit my family down there, then we’ll be living in Salisbury with Darryl’s parents…and they’re fantastic so it’ll be great!  Then it’s off to the D.R
